EOY 2006 was a blast again! I always look forward to cosplay events, and it's quite a pity that quite a number of people weren't around this year. People like Yun & gang, Kaori and Evelyn were all not around during this event. I heard from Kaori that Xiangling/Abigail was there, but I think I missed her. However, I met Yuan Le there, and I was quite surprised to see him there.

On a side note, I managed to locate Pearl, which is another friend that made during my restocking trip at Xiaofei's. It was also good to see Yuanyuan (cosplaying as Chun Li) as well, even after so many years. I first got to know her when I was around 17 years old. Good to see the old birds still hanging around.

Kudos to Ling, Hao and Roy who came down to enjoy the event together. Kudos to Hao also for dressing up together. You are like my only fellow guy friend that dresses the way we do, and probably the only guy that can accept the way I dress.

The girl in white is really quite pretty. Maybe I bias because I like white, just like the same reason why Roy likes Camy (he likes green). I like Shirololi's (white lolitas), and you seldom see them.

There's no way I can take a picture of the stage without sacrificing quality. I was forced to off flash, and increase the ISO to maximum just to get this.


Had to hunt this lolita near the end of the event to get this shot, only to realize that I had already took once. Lol.

This is Pearl, the girl whom I got to know at Chinatown (Xiaofei's store).


I managed to grab this lolita for a shot together. I think she really looks really familiar, almost like someone that I know personally, but I just can't exactly pin point who. Think she's minna no favourite lolita. Oh, not Roy though. He likes Sugin Tou. ^^

All and all, the event was a blast. I just found it a little pity that I didn't see more friends there. Nevertheless, I'm glad we didn't miss the event. Massive kudos to Hao for always going with me for events. I think we got addicted to such events ever since Steve brought us to Street Festival.

And I forgot to take picture with Yuanyuan! I thought I did already but I didn't!

In those days, lolita/gothic was hardly accepted. It's much more accepted these days. From the trend that I see, it will continue to get more popular, and eventually brands with Black Peace, Baby might appear if someone chooses to import them. For a start, I'm already seeing K-star shirts and lolita dresses. In fact, my cabinet has a few K-star shirts and lolita dresses.

I doubt it ever will become mainstream, but it'll get to be a more popular sight in future. I'm pretty good in spotting trends, whether fashion, electronics, etc.

Speaking of which, some stranger actually commented that I have a nice shirt and necklace... 1st time ever sia in events.

I'm already looking forward to next year's already. I hope one day, Ling will lolita with me in an event.
